as he was running from the second battle why does henry feel like hes in a race
death settles fo rthe closets person to it and hemry felt like he was in a race because he had to outrun the others so death wouldn't have a chnace to take him
what is a red badge pf courage
the red badge of courage is a battle wound Henry wishes he had one because all the other soliders have a wound and they seem so happy. this is ironic because henry ran from the battle so he wouldnt get wounded or killed and now he wishes he had a wound
how could a defeat be beinifical to henry
it would mean the regiment would have a split in teo after the bttle and men had scurries so Henry could blend back into the crowd
how does henry become wounded/ what is the irony behind this
Henry atttaches himseld to a large man and screams WHY? WHY? and finally the man hits him on the head with a rifle this is ironic because Henry didnt get his red badge of courage on the battlefield
