Regulation Order Growth and development Energy processing Response to change in enivronment Reproduction Homeostasis |
What is the diffrence between living and non living? |
Thet share the same chemical foundation and physical laws but rhe relative abundant of the element differ greatly. |
What is the organisation of living things? |
Molecules Macromolecules Organelles Cells Organs Organ system Orgainsm Population Community Ecosystem Biosphere |
What are phylogenetic trees? |
They tell you about simlarities and evolutionary history off species based on genetics and or physical traits demonstrated with nodes ans branches. Time runs from the root to the branches. |
What is most if the life diversity stemed from? |
Most of life diversity and so most of its deep evolutionary history is microbial. And all land animals are eukaryotes. |
What is variation? |
Variation can be genetic or environments. The uptimate souce of genetic variation is mutation. |
What is environmental and genetic variation? |
Envoronmental variation: how toe environment affects an organism. Genetic variation: differences in individual DNA leads to differences in RNA and proteins causing diffrences in apperance. |
What is the tree of life? |
3 main domains: bacteria, archaea and eukaryotes. Bacteris and arches lacks nucleus and therefore prokaryotes All 3 domains are closely related |
How has human activity affected other species? |
Human activity has benifited some species such as agriculture leasing ro more crops and waste benefits rodents and vermin. Others have not benifted and sometimes resulted in extinction. |
