Monitor the anterior sacral base and ask the patient to push the feet toward the ceiling for 3-5 seconds against your equal resistance;
Slowly move the legs toward the floor to a new restrictive barrier;
Repeat 3-5 times or until return of sacral mobility;
Retest sacroiliac motion or sacral symmetry.

Technique (lateral recumbent):

Hold the shoulder to prevent the patient from rolling and allow the flexed knee to hang down off the table;
Ask the patient to push the flexed knee toward the ceiling for 3-5 seconds against your equal resistance;
Slowly move the knee toward the floor to a new restrictive barrier;
Repeat 3-5 times or until sacral mobility returns;
Retest sacroiliac motion or sacral symmetry.

What is the difference btw a structural and functional curve?
Structural: fixed and inflexible, will not correct

Functional: flexible that is partially or completely corrected with sidebending to the opposite side (uncorrected may become structural)
when evaluating for scoliosis, you examine the levelness of the occiput, shoulders, iliac crests, PSIS and greater trochanters. If these are not level, what should you check next?

When the XIIth cranial nerve is compressed and causing poor sucking in an infant condylar decompression should be performed. Compression of the 4th ventricle (CV4) technique has value to stimulate the newborn, but this infant has a clear cut problem which should be corrected before moving on to other techniques. Balancing of the temporals would help with nerve dysfunction of the cranial nerves that have some association with the temporal bones which are CNIII through XI. This child has no indication of having an SBS compression and therefore the necessity of decompression is unlikely. Correction of the sphenoid strain pattern should help with nerve dysfunction of related nerves which includes: CNI-CNVIII.
