What is a soul?

A soul is the spiritual dimension of a person

What is ensoulment?

Having a soul from the moment of conception

That the body is a means to an end, as the immortal soul is what's important.

That through philosophy, you can educate your soul to live in the Realm of Being.

What do Hindus believe about the soul?

That the soul reaches Atman and unites with Brahman.

What do Christians believe, in comparison to materialists and dualists?

They believe in a mixture of the two - in the resurrection of the body and soul.

What do Christians believe about resurrection?

That you will have the same soul but a spiritual body as opposed to a physical one.

What was remarkable about Jesus' spiritual body?

That he had the scars and could eat, but also could disappear and walk through doors.

The Roman Catholic belief of a place where the righteous are cleansed of minor sins

What is salvation?

Freedom from sin and death

What provided salvation?

Jesus' death provided salvation

What is essential for salvation?

Belief in God and love of neighbour is essential for salvation

What is the Christian belief about redemption?

That Jesus' death paid the debt of human sin, making atonement possible

-That it was needed to pay the debt of human sin

That we all have different views of God, each being a fragment of the truth.

-It encourages them to worship God

As they know they are being judged on their love of God, by worshipping God, they demonstrate their love

God wants them to behave in a certain way, and they act in that way so they can be judged on it

How does God's position as judge encourage Christians to evangelise?

Christians will want others to go to heaven too, and so will have a duty to encourage others to make the right choice

Good behaviour may be enough - "In my Father's house, there are many rooms"

No-one will go to heaven because it doesn't exist
