Setting

The two types are physical and chronological

Physical Setting

The "where" of the story, where the story takes place

Chronological Setting

The "when" of the story, dates, time period, past, present, or future

Character

There are four types, Flat, Round, Dynamic, and Static

Flat Characterization

A character with one or two sides, resembling one or two traits

Round Characterization

A complex character with many sides, unpredictable behaviors, and a personality fully developed

Dynamic Characterization

Characters who experience essential change

Static Characterization

A non-changed character, no development after the way they were first presented

Conflict

The two types are internal, and external

External Conflict

Man against nature, or man against man

Internal Conflict

Internal is the battles fought inside yourself, like emotions, or a struggle to be the best

Symbol

Something that means something else, usually it's a tangable physical thing symbolizing something intangable

Point Of View

The two most common types are first person, and third person

First Person Point Of View

The story is told by a character in the story, easilly told if they use the words I, me, my, myself, etc.

Third Person Point Of View

Story not told by a stories character, but by an invisible author who plays no role in the story

Theme

The moral to the story
