Inner Core

Earth's innermost part; it is composed of an iron–nickel alloy and some light elements.

Outer Core

The outer core of the Earth is a fluid layer about 1,400 miles thick, composed of iron and nickel.

Mantle

The region of the earth's interior between the crust and the core, believed to consist of hot, dense silicate rocks.

Crust
