Pinna

Function: collects sound waves and directs them to th ear through the ear cannal

Tympanic membrane

Energy change occurs; from sound to mechanic. The sound waves cause it to vibrate

Ossicles

(Malleus, incus, stapes) energy transfer occurs.

Cells along the membrane detect the lowest frequencies
