1. Heart Attack
2. Stroke
What is a Heart Attack?
Heart does not get enough oxygen and shuts down (Myocardial Infarction)
What's a Stroke?
When an artery in the brain bursts
Other Problems of Circulatory System
- Hardening of the arteries (Artheroscleresis)
- Anemia, lack of oxygen due to lack of red blood cells
Ways to fix Problems
Balloon Angioplasty - One of a balloon to extend artery wall to clear blocking
Coronary artery Bypass - Use of a vein from leg to create a detour for blood around a blockage
Open Heart Surgery - Cut open the heart to repair a hole in septum of a valve that doesn't work properly
Pacemaker - Installing a battery operated device to control regular heart beat
What are the risks of Low Blood Pressure?
- Dizziness
- Faint
How do you find the target heart range?
220 - Age
Age x 60
Age x 80
What is Hemoglobin?
A chemical that picks up oxygen - made in bone marrow

The valves closing
What is the Donor Blood Type?
O
