slope
is also know as m describes the line and function. it can be horizontal or vertical pending.it also know as rise over run when being graphed. used in slope intercept form.
Slope intercept form
is presented as y=mx+b it shows where the y-intercept is on the graph which is b in the formula. It is used for linear equations. m is the slope.
Horizontal line
parallel to the x axis and goes right through the y- axis on the graph. and has no x-intercept only a y-intercept. An example how it would be written :
y=2 or y=7
Point-Slope form
a way to wright an equation of a line. the formula is written as m=y2-y1/x2-x1and then you wright as y-y1=m(x-x1) also a different way of writing slope.
x-intercept
The x-intercepts is when the line crosses the graph of x-axis.x-intercept is a point on the graph where y=0
Standard form
(Ax + By = C) is a form of a linear equation.A,B,C are integers. and A> or equal to 0.
Vertical line
the vertical line is the opposite of a horizontal line. it is x=y when graphed other than y=x. and only has an x-intercept.
Slope Formula
The slope m of the line through the
points (x1, y1) and (x 2, y 2) is given by the formula.
y-intercept
it is located on the y-axis on the graph where the line would hit. it is also described as the letter b in slope intercept form.
