Four Factors in determining "official" teaching

1. The current CORRELATED PUBLICATIONS (manuals, magazines, with the church logo)

2. the CUMULATIVE OFFICIAL TEACHINGS of GA (consistently through General conference, etc)

3. The UNITED VOICE of the current 1st and 12 (Official declarations or proclamations, letters)

4. The HARMONIZED scriptural canon (found repeatedly throughout scripture)

Five Factors of determining a reliable source

1. Primary Source (participant/observer)

2. Contemporary Account (recorded close to event)
