What are the physiological effects of high and low TENS?

Both modes of stimulation used to produce pain relief

High TENS - stimulates the A beta fibres and analgesia is produced by the pain gate theory

Low TENS - Stimulates the A Delta and C fibres which produces pain relief via the descending pain suppression (PAG)

TENS safety notes

Keep out of reach of children

Do not use TENS if driving or using dangerous equipment
