The Soviet Union introduced the T-34. It was one of the best tanks in service throughout the war. It was upgraded several times, the final version called the T34/85.
Protection is the tank's ability to resist being detected, engaged, disabled, or destroyed.
The Soviets began producing the T-34 Battle Tank in 1940. 2000 tanks were produced the first year. 40,000 were produced during WWII.
