Minor Sentence (PAGE 74)

“I’m not mad – I know exactly what I’m saying – and I’m telling you, no one else knows anything about this. I did it entirely on my own. Remember that.” Minor sentence “remember that” is used for dramatic effect to give emphasis and is also an imperative.

Imperative (PAGE 75)

Mrs Linde is telling Nora what to do “You must stop him. Go in and keep him talking.” Imperatives show that Mrs Linde is taking hold of the situation and helping Nora.
Interrogatives
“may a man enter his own drawing room again?” suggests to the audience that Helmer believes men have power over females – relates to the context of the piece and how women did not have the same rights as men. Helmer owns the drawing room – symbolises the idea of Helmer owning Nora and Nora owing everything to Helmer.
