Rebound congestion may occur, so advise to use only for short term usage

tremors, palpitations, changes in BP, dizziness, Urinary rention or chnages in skin itegrity

Monitor for:
VS (HR, BP, RR) & for CP
telemetry, EKG (check dysrthimais)
UOP (30 mls/hr)
IV site for infiltration
look for expected theapeutic effects
