diversity perspective
theoretical framework that emphasizes the incredible diversity of social workers and their clients. Social workers must understand cultural differences. this means understanding themselves and their biases, and a great deal about the population they are workign with.
ecological systems framework
goes beyond looking at the systems that make up a client's sphere to focus on the intersection of client systems and the larger environmental context. The ecological model rests on the life model which views people and their environments as reacting to and changing in response to each other.
