All of the 10 Commandments are repeated in the NT in some form. Except for the Sabbath. What does Heb. 4 have to say about the Sabbath?
It seems to imply that we can enter into daily as long as it is called today
Why is the Sabbath different in the NT?
Because the Sabbath was the sign of the Mosaic Covenant and we are part of a better Covenant founded on better promises
What was Israel saying when they kept the Sabbath?
That they were voluntarily keeping the Mosaic Covenant
Don't we need to remember God / what He has done for us / enjoy his creation?
Yes, we still need time to reflect / worship / spend time with God enjoying His creation but this is something we can experience and participate in daily
What did Deut 30 look forward to?
A time when their hearts would be circumcised
