why are producer organisms put first on the food chain?

Because they make their own food and don't rely on other organisms for food and neutrience

and are eaten by many organisms and provide the neutrience other living organisms need.

What are the features scientists use to classify animals?

they look for animals with backbones (vertebrates)

Animals without back bones are called (invertebrates)

Also the see if an animal has bilateral symmetry or radial symmetry. Bilateral symmetry is when you can cut an object only once so that it has identical sides. Radial symmetry is were an animal can be cut more than once to make identical sides.

What are poriferans?
poriferans live In the water and are most found in marine environments. They are commonly called sea sponges because water travels through their pores(holes) and they filter neutrience or food out of the water. They are commonly known as filter feeders because of the way they collect food.
What are Cnidarians?
cnidarians are organisms with radial symmetry. Jelly fish, anemones and coral polyps belong to this phylum. Cnidarians have only one opening were food goes in and were waste comes out. Cnidarians all have stinging cells which are used to catch food. Cnidarians aren't interested in using humans for food. Their stinging cells cause tremendous pain and some cases have caused death to humans.
What are echinoderms
echinoderms live in the ocean. Starfish brittle stars, sea urchins and sea cucumbers belong to this phylum. The one thing in common about the echinoderms is that they all have radial symmetry. All echinoderms have spikey skin except the sea cucumber with leathery skin.
What are nematodes?

Nematodes are also called worms,but they don't have segments and have bilateral symmetry. Nematodes have long tapered bodies with a point at each end. They live in damp soil water and as parasites in other organisms bodies. Para sites are organisms living in other organisms called a host. They get food from the host but the host doesn't get anything in return and is often harmed.

What are annelids
Annelids are found in water and in damp places on land. The most familiar and well known annelid is the earth worm. The earth worm has rings all along it's body these are called segments. This gives the worm its common name (segment worms). These animals have bilateral symmetry. Other annelids are leeches and rag worms.
What are Platyhelminthes
Platyhelminthes also have worm as apart of their common name -they are flat worms. They have bilateral symmetry and are flat on the top of their body. Platyhelminthes live in the water or very moist places They are mainly parasites.
what are Molluscs?
Molluscs are members of the second largest phylum in the animal kingdom. All molluscs live in water or very moist places. Snails slugs and oysters belong to this phylum. Molluscs come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, but all have a well developed organs and bilateral symmetry. Molluscs have a muscular foot which they use to move around in. Some molluscs have a shell for protection.
What are chordates
most of the larger animals you see walking around are described as invertebrates. All the vertebrates belong to the same phylum the chordates. Chordates have a nerve cord running down their back which gives them there name. Most Chordates have skeletons inside their body an(endoskeleton). Most chordates have a series of bones protecting the nerve cord. These small bones are called the vertebrae but together are called the vertebral column or backbone.
What are arthropods
Arthropods are found everywhere and are the largest animal phylum in the world. Arthropods are able to survive on land because of the water proof exoskeleton a skeleton on the outside of the body. The skeleton isn't able to bend so the limbs of the arthropod are jointed allowing them to move y is divided into segments.
what are the four human activities which affect the ecosystem?

mining

agriculture

urbanization

logging

give an example of a producer, consumer and decomposer

producer= grass bush/plant

consumer= bird, fish, turtle, lion,

decomposer= fungi/ mold

how does a food chain look?
A food chain is drawn like a simple flow chart and starts with the sun and ends with bacteria/fungi.
how does a food web look like
a food web is larger and more complicated and usually needs three food chains to make.

what are mammals?

mammals are warm blooded creatures which are covered of hair and feed their baby milk produced by the mother.

What are amphibians?

Amphibians are Chordates that live in both land and water. They lay their eggs in water and the tadpoles must live in the water because they breath through gills. The body then changes shape called metamorphosis allowing the adult to live on land and breath through lungs. These lungs aren't very affective so they soak up oxygen from the water through their skin. To be able to do this amphibians must remain moist.
What are reptiles?
reptiles such as snakes crocodiles and lizards are ectothermic, and have dry scaly skin. They breath only using their lungs. Generally lay eggs on land. While most spend their life on land their are exceptions. Sea snakes spend their whole life in the water and give life to live young.
