Sub arachnoid haemorrhage and Symptoms

Bleeding at the surface of the brain. Very serious.



Symptoms- Sudden Severe Headache


-stiff neck


-Sensitivity to light


-blurred double vision


-slurred speech and weakness on one side of the body.


-loss of consciousness and convulsions (uncontrollable shaking).

What causes subarachnoid haemorrhages

- Smoking


- high blood pressure


- excessive alcohol consumption.


-severe head injuries which is otherwise called traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage.


What is a Dissection

It when a tear occurs in the inner layer of the major Arteries in the carotid or vertebral arteries. Blood appears and builds in-between the wall layers causing it to bulge and slow or stop blood flow to the brain.
