trichomoniasis:
how does it affect men and women
infection of vagina or urethra with a protozoan.
men: usually asymptomatic
women: discomfort, vaginal discharge, urge to urinate frequently
syphilis:
how hoes it affect ppl
infection of treponema pallidum. primary syphilis is marked by a sore, chancre, at the site of infection. secondary syphilis is the rash and fever. it becomes latent, bvut then may attack a variety of organ systems (tertiary syphilis) and cause death.

herpes infection is incurable, but outbreaks can be limited by anitviral drugs, like acyclovir
HPV does what?
causes genital warts and other lesions of the genital skin and urogential tract. genital warts can be easily removed by a variety of treatments. some infect the cervix and are the principle cause of cervical cancer
Hepatitis A and B
viral infection sof the liver that can be acquired sexually as well as by other routes. anal penetration and anilingus are the sexual behaviors most likely to transmit hepatitis A. B is transmitted by coitus or oral sex. in a minority of cases it leads to chronic liver disease and liver cancer.
