Standard Player K:
k defines rights and responsibilities of various people in sports. SPK is employment K w/c states player’s rights. Team will control activities of player. SPK is adhesion K. Can be modified through collective bargaining agreement. Clubs responsibility for liability for injuries is limited in SPK. Team can’t force performance from player. Contains termination clause. Termination must be “for cause.”

team folded b/4 camp, the singed player must show willingness to perform by allowing team to use his good name for public relations purposes.
No-Cut Clause
assure player he will not be cut during life of K.
3 different types of not cut clauses:
a) Cunningham Model: doesn’t prevent cuts from bad physical or mental
conditions.

b) Standard NFL clause: player must maintain superior physical condition
c) Hudson Model: best for player - salary payable in any event.
Signing Bonus
is specialty clause. To secure bonus player must be in good shape and ready to play at training camp. Singing bonus not considered salary.
