Circuit training

-performing a series of exercises in a special order called a circuit.


-It can be designed to improve speed, agility, coordination, balance and muscular endurance.

Continuous Training

-working for a sustained period of time without rest. It improves cardio-vascular fitness.

Cross training

-using another sport or activity to improve your fitness. It happens when an athlete trains in a different environment. For example a volleyball player uses the power training for that sport to help with fitness for long jump.

Fartlek Training

-'speed play' training involves varying your speed and the type of terrain over which you run, walk, cycle or ski. It improves aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
Interval Training

-alternating between periods of hard exercise and rest. It improves speed and muscular endurance.

Weight training

-uses weights to provide resistance to the muscles. It improves muscular strength (high weight, low reps), muscular endurance (low weight, high reps, many sets) and power (medium weight and reps performed quickly).
Altitude training

-aerobic training high above sea level, where oxygen levelsare lower. It is used to increase aerobic fitness quickly.

Barrier 3-motivation

-Having motivation is very important because ifyou don’t have motivation then there’s not much point in trying to makeyourself go. We could motivate ourselves by buying a new sports kit or findinga training buddy.
Barrier 1-time

-People may not have enough time to go to the gymor go for a run because they have work and jobs at home or things to do. Theway to solve this is to do the work beforehand so that you can make time forthe exercise.
Barrier 2-Cost
-To avoid cost problems that some people may havedue to: paying for the gym or sports kit, you can avoid it by either getting ajob to get money or borrow some money or don’t spend any money at all and go ona run.
