not technically behavioral disorder (IDEA "other Health impairments"), 3-5 (7)% of kids, usually boys 5-1, 4.5 million

What is ADHD, Predominantly Inattentive Type?
6+ symptoms of inattention for 6 months (inattentive-hard to complete task, trouble follow directions, easily distracted)
What is ADHD, Predominantly Hyperactive Type?
6+ of hyperactive: not remain in seat, talk excessively, restlessness, difficulty engaging in quiet activities.
ADHD
Cause biological, neurological or inherited.
Autism Spectrum
Asperger's, Rett's Pervasive DD NOS, Childhood Disintigrative Disorder, Autistic Disorder.
Autistic Disorder
Social impairment and communication deficits. Repetitive. Usually diagnosed before 3 yrs
Aspergers Disorder
Impairment in socialization and pragmatics. No communication deficits or delays. Clumsy motor. Literal. Before 3 yrs
Pervasive Developmental Disorder NOS
Impaired in both social and communication aspects but don't fit all criteria to fit under Autistic or Asperger's heading
Retts Disorder
Normal, then 5-48 months head shrinks and hands unable to function. Co-morbid with mental retardation. Can be at 5 months
