Adverb
a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, another adverb, or a sentence (bien, muy, etc.
When placed in a series, adverbs ending in mente
drop the ending except for the last of the series, unless the effect desired is monotony

pero indicates something contrary to what precedes it (No hace calor, pero yo estoy sudando) sino used after negative to indicate alternate (rather, instead) becomes sino que before a conjugated verb, no solo…sino también=not only…. but also
