They are festivals for the saint "fermin" of the city of PAMPLONA, SPAIN. it starts on July 7th and lasts a week, and it is unique because it is defined by many bull fights and the famous "running of the bulls"

they are released at 7 oclock in the mornings and they run about a half a mile down the main street of pamplona to the "plaza de toros" (the bull ring)
How are the male runners dressed? Why? How far is the mad dash?
They are dressed in red to "attract" the bulls. (actually bulls are colorblind and only attracted to movement). The mad dash is a half mile long.
What are some other activities that take place during this time? What is the traditional dance called?
Strength contests, parades, dancing, outdoor concerts, LOTS of drinking, religious ceremony. The dance is "La Jota"
What do people do for entertainment after the "corridas"?
They stay and have fun in the amusement park, have fireworks, celebrations, and concerts.
