add "-ly" to adjective to form a adverb
In Spanish:
add "-mente" to form adverb
Only one exception to this basic rule
If the adjective ends with an "o"
-->make "o" an "a"
-->then add on "-mente"

-All other adjectives remain as they are, except those that end in "o"

She speaks slowly and clearly.
Irregular adverb
solo=solamente=sólo

All can be used interchangeably for "only."
