Plato on the soul

Plato was convinced that people have eternal souls which connect them to the world or forms


•for Plato the soul is immortal and the body is clearly not .


•the soul is temporary united with the physical body , but can leave the body and move on.


Plato wanted to show that Socrates had not failed to educate people about philosophy because his soul will continue to live.
