Nuclear - Family resides together with kids

Extended - Whole network of parents, children and other relatives who form a family unit and often reside together.
Matrilineal and patrilineal kinship systems
Matrilineal - Family lineage is traced through the mother.

Patrilineal - Descent traced through the father.
Polygyny and polyandry
polygyny n. The condition or practice of having more than one wife at one time.

polyandry - more than one husband at a time.

Second shift is a term describing the workload of women and men who work to earn money, but also have responsibility for unpaid, domestic labor. (Chores etc. Gender roles)

Fertility is the natural capability of giving life. Human fertility depends on factors of nutrition, sexual behavior, culture, instinct, endocrinology, timing, economics, way of life, and emotions.

Mortality: A fatal outcome or, in one word, death.

Morbidity: Illness, disease.
Natural increase and net migration
rate of natural increase (RNI) is the crude birth rate minus the crude death rate of a population.

Net migration rate is the difference of immigrants and emigrants of an area in a period of time, divided (usually) per 1,000 inhabitants (considered on midterm population). A positive value represents more people entering the country than leaving it, while a negative value mean more people leaving than entering it.

Macrochange - Gradual transformations in a society that affect many aspects of living.
