What is a questionnaire? |
a standardised, pre-set listof questions on paper or online. They can be distributed inperson, via the post or via the Internet. The respondent then reads and answerson their own. No need for researcher to be present, although they can bedistributed to a captive audience. (e.g. in a classroom) |

Detail (open questions) Positivists like them as standardised. Less time consuming and expensive than other research types. Large number of respondentscan be involved.
