*Results from normal & accepted operations of institutions within society.


-Stereotype : A belief, image, or generalization about all members of a group or category of people, regardless of individual differences, that is oversimplified, uncritical, unreliable, but at the same time very rigid & that is false or greatly distorts selected traits of people.

Discuss the concept of Affirmative Action. Show how the causes of prejudice & institutional prejudice & discrimination directly related to Affirmative Action programs. In that light, discuss if Affirmative Actions programs are needed & effective today?

-Affirmative Action: Private & governmental attempts to improve the opportunities for members of minority groups by recruiting minority group members for various types of opportunities.
