What was the "Great Compromise"?
The Upper House/Senate would have a senator from each state, while the Lower House/House of Representatives would have representation by population. The former satisfied the small states and the latter the larger states. Additionally, both were to be elected by the people
What was one of the big issues facing the constitution?
Slavery caused major issues; the institution of slavery and the laws that surrounded never was discussed much and not resolved. A group of Quakers sought to have it abolished, but the conflict that would have ensued would have destroyed the country

slaves would be counted as three white men, for voting procedures
