What are the three types of disclosures required under the Federal rules?

Initial disclosures: n/a/phone # of ind. likely to have discoverable evid. the disclosing party may use to support claims/defenses; copies/descriptns of docs or tangible things in the disclosing party's p'ssnn/control that the d.party may use to support its claims or defenses, a computation of damage (+ info used to compute them) & copies of ins. agreements under which an insurer might be liable for all/part of any judgmnt.
Expert testimony disclosure -- A party must disclose to other parties the ID of exp. witn's expected to be used at trial & the disclosure must accompany a report prepared & signed by each expert witness stating her qualifications, opinions to be expressed, and basis for those opinions. Pretrial disclosures -- 30 days before trial, a party must disclose the witn's he expects to call at trial and those he will call if need arises, those whose testimony will be presented by deposition and a transcript of pertinent portions of the dep., and a list of docs or exhibits he expects to offer or might offer if needed. |
