1796 states that future generations should stay "out of the affairs of Europe and follow a policy of isolationism-from GW
Monroe Doctrine
1823 was an isolationist policy made by President James Monroe stating that furthur efforts by European governments to colonize land or interfere with states in the Americas would be viewed by the U.S. as acts of agressions requiring U.S. inervention. Also said that the western hemisphere was not to be further colonized European countries and that we would not interefere with the interal concerns of European countries.
Rooselvelt Corollary
1904 was an amendment to the Monroe Doctrine by President Roosevlet. Rooselvelts extension of the Monroe Doctrine asserted the right of the United States to intervene to stabilize the economic affairs of countries in the Caribbean and Central America.
