How did the Haudenosaunee Confederacy respect liberal values in its practices and customs

The Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and eventually Tuscarora joined the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Each nation has its own council and chief which are all equal in authority. The common goal is to live in harmony

The constitution of the Haudenosaunee which outlined the path to harmony and unity amount the warring nations, divided powers between different levels of government, and established the equal participation of people, including women, in the government. It guaranteed certain rights and freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom or religion, and the rights of an individual
