Equal Pay Act of 1963

Is an amendment to the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. Prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in determining the rates of pay to employees

Equal Pay for Equal Work Standard

Requires equal wages for "equal skill, effort, responsibilities" that are "performed under similar working conditions"

Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967

(ADEA) - purpose is to promote the employment of older persons based on their ability rather than age; to prohibit arbitrary age discrimination in employment; to help employers and workers find ways of meeting problems arising from the impact of age unemployment

A business that has entered into a contract to provide goods or services to the federal government

Affirmative-Action Program
