silver salts
causes acquired spotted blue-gray skin. Ingestion of arsenic therapeutically or as chronic poisoning, produces a diffuse gray background with superimposed dark, 5-10 mm diameter macules.
arsenic
Inherited metabolic error in which individual lacks oxidase of homogentisic acid. Results in deposition of black polymers of homogentisic acid in CT and urine. Black accumulation shines thru skin producing blue-gray color in areas of deposition.
Alkaptonuria
= Ochronosis
Administered in treatment of arthritis, causes blue-gray pigmentation of periocular skin and in regions exposed to salt.
