What do long bones look like?

Considerably longer than they are wide. Shaft plus 2 ends. Primarily compact bone but spongy bone interior.

They are roughly cube-like. Mostly spongy bone; compact bone provides a thin surface layer.

Thin, flattened and usually a bit curved. Two parallel compact bone surfaces with a layer of spongy bone between.
