What do long bones look like?
Considerably longer than they are wide. Shaft plus 2 ends. Primarily compact bone but spongy bone interior.
Give an example of a long bone.
All bones of the limbs, except the patella and those of the wrist and ankle.
What do short bones look like?
They are roughly cube-like. Mostly spongy bone; compact bone provides a thin surface layer.

What do flat bones look like?
Thin, flattened and usually a bit curved. Two parallel compact bone surfaces with a layer of spongy bone between.
