Why 'Doraemon' name consist of both hiragana and katakana ?

"Dora" is a corrupt form of "nora" which means stray or feral as in stray cats/dogs and feral cats/pariah dogs. In Japan, "dora neko" means "stray cats" who live near or in human settlements, scavenging for food and seldom interacting directly with humans. Nora or dora has a negative connotation, associated with concepts such as lazy and troublesome. "Nora" has several meanings. 1. idle, lazy, good-for-nothing 2. prodigality as in the prodigal son 3. a field, a farm (nora in this sense is often used in the company of another word such as "labor" and "clothes.") ex. farm labor (nora shigoto) a farmer's working clothes (nora gi) 4. stray, feral "Dora" has another meaning "gong." Doraemon's favorite snack is "dorayaki" which consists of two small pancakes wrapped around a filling of sweet red bean paste. Dorayaki is brown and round and looks like a gong, and this is probably the origin of the name of the sweet. "Emon" was a part of the popular male name from the Nara period (710-794) to the Edo period (1603-1867). ex. Goemon, Kichiemon, Mataemon, etc. I don't know exactly why Doraemon's name consists of hiragana and katakana. It could be written in kanji like 銅鑼右衛門 It's a compound word of dora and emon and that's why, I guess...
