Iago is exactly what he seems yet no one knows. The pun on none (to be heard known) is demonstrating that irony. He is continually called "Honest Iago" yet he is the vice character in the play. He is only disguised to those within the play who do not see him through his speech.

This likne sums up the whole play. Time has been collapsed. Past and present have become the future which is the only time that Macbeth Lives in. Every deed he commits he wants to be ahead of.

The Porter has just awoken from a dream that he was the porter at hells gate.

Surface level: funny
Asking for money

Deeper level- had a dream that he was the porter at hell's gate. The play is mimicking the passion 3-Day Passion of Christ. Goes to hell and knocks on the gate.

Scene divides the play into 2 distinct halves. Prelasparian Fall and After the fall.

Macduff Act V Scene IX.
just killed Mcbeth and holds his head up as a trophy.

-Macbeth has been confusing the three tenses of time- Past-Present-Future.
His time has been collapsed to be "tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow".

Soul is mad up of past present future. This idea is internalized in macbeth. Goseto fantastes everytime he kills he wants to be ahead.
