- A noun


- A verb


Made up of one main clause.

Compound Sentence

A compound sentence has more than one Clause linked with a 'Conjunction'


'It was a nice morning (and, but, because etc) i was walking my dog.


Has the effect of linking ideas and events.

Complex sentence

A complex has a 'Main clause' and a 'subordinate clause' (not as important)


You can rearrange this sentence order but you must have both parts in to make sense]
