Complete subject

Acomplete subject is more than just one noun. It contains the simplesubject - the noun that the whole sentence is about - but it also includes all of the words that modify that noun. Most often, the complete subject is the entire first part of a sentence.

Simple subject

is the main word or word group that tells whom or what the sentence is about. The completesubject consists of all the words that tell whom or what a sentence is about

Predicates

the part of a sentence or clause containing a verb and stating something about the subject

Simple

a sentence consisting of only one clause, with a single subject and predicate

Compound

a sentence with more than one subject or predicate

Complex

a sentence containing a subordinate clause or clauses
