What is an adjective?
Adjectives are used to describe nouns and pronouns adjectives answer questions about nouns and pronouns such as which one? How many?What kind?

What is an absolute phrase?
Consists of a noun and pronoun and any modifiers followed by a participle or a participial phrase .An absolute phrase modifies an entire sentence , not any particular word with in a sentence. It can appear any where in a sentence and is set off by the rest of the sentence with a comma or commas. There may be more than one absolute phrase in a sentence.
What is a Clause?
A group of words that contains a subject and a predicate
What is an independent or (main) clause?
It can stand alone as a grammatically complete sentence because it expresses a complete thought
What is a dependent or (subordinate) clause?
It has a subject and a predicate but cannot stand alone as a complete sentence because it doesn't express a complete thought
What is a relative pronoun?
It links a dependent clause to an independent clause.
What is a Subordinating Conjunction?
It has similar function that a relative pronoun does it links a dependent clause to an independent clause
What is a noun clause?
A noun clause can be used like a noun it can be a subject, verb, predicate, nominative, direct object, an in direct object, appositive, or object of the preposition
What is an elliptical clause?
A clause where the words have been left out (omitted) either intentionally or forgetfully

It has one independent (main) clause No dependent (subordinate) clause
