Touch
1. Meissner's Corpuscle: distributed through the skin and under epidermas
2. Pacinian Corpuscle: deep pressure and detects pressure changes and vibrations
3. Merkel Discs: touch receptors and located deep in dermis

-lasts longer than touch
-felt over larger area
-pacinian corpuscles respond when pressure is applied to skin

-thermorecptrs adapt rapidly to change (hot tub)
Pain
-free nerve endings and are found in every tissue in body
-activates enzymes that form a chemcial called "Bradykinin"
Vision
-wall consists of 3 layers

c. choroid
-lens changes shape to view objects at varying distances
-lens attached to a muscle by ligaments
-no rods in fovea
-diameter is smaller when contracts, loosens tension and focuses on close objects
-diameter increases when it's relaxed
