What does the central nervous system include? |

behind the thyroid gland- helps to keep the level of calcium in the blood within a narrow range |

What is the pineal gland? |
a tiny gland located at the base of the brain- secretes the hormone melatonin which controls sleep-wake cycles and other processes |

Where is the pancreas located and what does it do? |
near the stomach- its hormones include insulin and glucagon- the 2 work together to control the level of glucose in the blood |

Where are the 2 adrenal glands located? |
above the kidneys- secretes cortisol, which helps deal with stress, and aldosterone, which helps regulate the balance of minerals in the body |
