What is voltage?
a measure of the energy given to each group of electrons
What is current?
a measure of how fast each group of electrons is moving
What is a resistor?
slows the current and usually produces heat and sometimes light in the process
What is Ohm's Law?
V=IR (voltage=current x resistance)
What are some advantages and disadvantages of series circuits?
Advantages: fewer wires, not too much current
Disadvantages: the more bulbs there are, the dimmer they are. If one breaks, the rest go off.
What are some advantages and disadvantages of parallel circuits?
Advantages: brighter, if 1 breaks the rest stay on
Disadvantages: the more bulbs added in parallel, the more electricity- may overheat and cause fire. Battery runs out faster.
What is Newton's 2nd law?
F=ma
What is Newton's 1st law?
An object will stay at rest or continue moving at a constant velocity unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
What is Newton's 3rd law?
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Tinea Facialis - features (2)
1. Sharply demarcated
2. Serpiginous -Yayılan- borders
what is acceleration?
a measure of the rate at which an object changes its velocity. An object accelerates when acted on by an unbalanced force.
In a speed/time graph, how do you work out acceleration?
acceleration= rise/run
What is the difference between distance and displacement?
Distance is a scalar quality- it is a measure of how far an object has travelled, not always in a straight line. No direction. Displacement is a vector quality, it is a measure of how far an object ends up from where it started, in a straight line, with direction.
What is the difference between speed and velocity?
Speed is distance per unit time, or the rate that distance is covered. Velocity is speed in a straight line, with a direction. Speed is scalar, velocity is vector.
How does speed relate to time and distance?
sp=d/t
how does velocity relate to time and displacement?
v=s/t
How do you convert m/s to km/h? km/h to m/s?
m/s to km/h= x3.6
km/h to m/s= divide by 3.6
