What is hybridazation?
A selevtive breeding method in which two geneticaly differnt individualsare crossed.
What is an aminocentesis?
A tecnique by which a small amount of the fluid that surrounds a developing baby is removed. then you can see if the baby had a genetic disorder.
What are multiple alleles?
3 or more forms of a gene that code for a single trait.
whats a carrier?
A person who had one recessive allele for a trait and one dominant allele, but doen't have the trait.
What is selective breeding?
The process of selecting a few oraganisms with disired traits to serve as parents of the next generation.

An abnormal condition that a person inherits through genes or chromosomes.

A gene that is carried on the X or Y chromosome.

A picture of all the chromosomes in a cell arranged in pairs.

An organism that is geneticly identical to the organism from which it was produced.

The transfer of a gene from the DNA from one organsim into anouther organism, in order to produce an organism with disierd traits.

the insetion of working copies of a gene into the cells of a person with a genetic disorder in an attempt to correct the disorder.

a chart or family tree that tracks which members of a family have a particular trait.
