Atom-

The smallest particle of an element that has chemical properyies of that element.

Compound-

A substance made up of two or more different types of atoms bonded together.

Element-

A substance that cannot be broken down into a simpler substance by ordinary chemical changes. An element consists of only one type.

Mass-

A measure of how much matter an object is made of.

Matter-

Anything that has mass and volume. Matter exist ordinarily as a solid, a liquid, or a gas.

Mixture-

A combonation of two or more different substances that do not combine chemically. Mixtures can be separated by physical means.

Molecule-

A group of atoms that are held together by covalent bonds so that they move as one unit.

Weight-

The force of gravity on an object.
