Volume= A volume of an object is the amount of space that it takes up.
The Three States of Matter= Solid Liquid and gas.
Mercury= A liquid metal which is very dense at room temperature.
Solid= Solid particles are very tightly packed ordered position and vibrate in a fixed position. There is also a very strong attraction between the particles.
Air pressure (can activity)= 1.The pressure inside and outside of the can was initially balanced. 2.When the can was suddenly inverted in to cold water, it caused the sudden contraction of the particles inside the can. This caused the sudden decrees of PRESSURE!!
Liquid= Particles in liquid are touching in a random order. They can move and flow past each other and the strength of attraction is not as strong as a solid but strong enough to hold together.
.....
Gas= Gas particles are far apart from each other. They move very quickly because they have a lot of energy. They constantly collide with each other. They are in a random position. There is also a very weak attraction between the particles.
