Hypothesis

Controlled experiment

Investigator must have two setups: first, an experimental setup that receives the test treatment, or in other words, the variable that is manipulated by the scientist in the experiment- known as the independent variable;


Second, a controlled variable, that's the variable that does not receive treatment, or in other words, the variable that the scientist wants to remain constant
