How do you test for sugar? |
1. For solid foods, Grind them in a pestle and mortar. 2.transfer the food sample to a boiling tube. 3.add 10 drops of Benedict's solution. 4.place in the hot water bath for 2–5 minutes |

What is the test for lipids? |
1.add 2 cm² of ethanol to feed sample in a test – tube and shake well. 2 .allow any solid particles to settle to the bottom (stand for 2 minutes). 3. Pour the clear ethanol mixture into clean test – tube and add 2 cm³ of water. 4.shake well – if a cloudy mixture results – fat/oil is present. |
