What is a Transverse Wave

A wave where the displacement of the medium is perpendicular to the direction of the wave.

What is a Longitudinal Wave

when the particle moves the same direction as the wave.

What is the Electromagnetic Spectrum

The range of wavelengths or frequencies which electromagnetic radiation continues.

What is a Concave lens

Curved inwards.

What is a Convex lens

Curved outwards.

What is an electrical Current

An electric current is a flow of electric charge in electric circuits.

What is electrical Voltage

Voltage is the measure of the amount of energy available to push a charge through a circuit.

What is Amps

The measurement of the amount of charge flowing through the circuit over a period of time.

What is a Proton

A stable subatomic particle in all atomic nuclei has a positive electric charge with an equal amount in magnitude to that of an electron.

What is a Neutron

A subatomic particle that has about the same mass as a proton but doesn't have an electric charge.

What is an Electron

A stable subatomic particle with a charge of negative electricity that is found in all atoms and acting as the main carrier for electricity in solids.

What is an Atomic Mass

It is equivalent to the number of protons and neutrons in the atom.

What is an Atomic Number

The number of protons in the nucleus of an atom, which shows what chemical element it is and shows its place in the periodic table.

What is Alpha Radiation

Ionizing radiation consisting of alpha particles, emitted by some substances undergoing radioactive decay.

What is Beta Radiation

High-energy electrons, carrying a negative charge, that are sent out by some radioactive nuclei.

What is Gamma Radiation

It is gamma rays.

What is aIsotope

Two or more forms of the same element that contain equal numbers of protons but have a different number of neutrons in their nuclei.

What is Half-Life

The time taken for the radioactivity of a specified isotope to fall to half its original value.
